Quante di voi sono fan delle donuts? Immagino moltissime, me compresa! Sono certa però che molte non conoscono le origini di queste ciambelle cosí belle da vedere e buone da mangiare!La curiosità é che ho scoperto la storia proprio parlandone con la mia vicina olandese! Ebbene si pare che le donuts abbiano niente poco di meno che origini olandesi!

Prima del 1850 da queste parti le chiamavano Olykoeks che erano una specie di mini torte zuccherate e fritte e nel corso degli anni, proprio per facilitarne la cottura, presero la forma della ciambella che conosciamo noi oggi.

Il “buco centrale” facilitava la cottura conferendo al dolce un sapore più buono.

Nel 1920 sbarcò in America dove scoppiò la moda e dove le decorazioni allegre e colorate iniziarono ad incuriosire sempre più persone.

Da allora le donuts non ci hanno più lasciato, le mangiamo a pranzo, a merenda  e le ritroviamo ovunque anche nella moda (of course).

Siccome posso tranquillamente definirmi una donuts-addict non ho saputo resistere a questa felpa irriverente dai colori accessi.

Ho deciso di abbinarla ad una gonna in pizzo e orecchini lunghi, che conferiscono al look un sapore decisamente più romantico.

Un modo nuovo per indossare la felpa, d’altronde già l’anno scorso la combo felpa+gonna spopolava nello street style di tutto il mondo.

L’atro pezzo forte del look è il mio nuovo orologio Swatch Limited Edition rigorosamente in rosa che, per rimanere in tema, viene venduto i una confezione a forma di cupcake.

Insomma ragazze se non vi è ancora chiaro sono una golosona! Lol!

How many of you are donuts-addict? I guess a lot, including me! But I’m sure many people don’t  know the origins of these donuts so good to see and to eat! The curiosity is that I have discovered the story just here talking to my Dutch friend! Well it seems donuts have Dutch origins!

Before 1850, they called them Olykoeks, which were a kind of mini fried cake, and over the years, just to make it easier to cook, they took the shape of the donut that we know today.

The “central hole” facilitated the cooking, giving  a better flavor.

In 1920,  in America they had their boom thanks also the colorful decorations.

Since then the donuts are one of our favorite food, we eat them in the morning, in the afternoon and we can find them everywhere also in fashion (of course).

I can define myself  a donuts-addict of course and I couldn’t resist to get this donuts sweater.

I decided to match it with a lace skirt and long pink  earrings, which give to  the look a romantic flavor.

A new way to wear the sweatshirt, but last year the combo sweatshirt + skirt was so popular!

The last but not the least is my new Swatch Limited Edition rigorously in pink that, to stay in the  food mood, is sold a cupcake package.

From now anyone knows how much I love donuts! Lol!
